CO-PARENT CLASSES

Co-parenting is a choice each parent makes to focus on the needs of their children while parenting from separate homes. Even in the best of circumstances, co-parenting can be difficult due to past hurts and different parenting styles. This four-hour, court-approved parenting class "Two Parents, Two Homes" will equip you with knowledge and skills to co-parent more skillfully. You will learn to:

  • Keep children out of parental conflict

  • Clarify parenting responsibilities

  • Identify your child's needs during this transition

  • Reduce and resolve conflict

  • Determine financial responsibilities

  • Improve communication with your children and possibly the other parent

Important Information for all classes:

  • FEE: $50 per participant

  • Refunds are generally issued only if the class is cancelled due to not having the required 6 participants.

  • Registrations may be transferred once at the request of the participant.

  • Co-parents are not required to attend a class together and may request to take classes separately as part of the registration process.  Preference for class attendance is given to the parent/participant who registers first, and the parent who registers second will be contacted and transferred to another class.

  • Limited scholarships are available and can be accessed by calling (540) 342-2063 before completing registration.
