Conflict Mediation

Take your conflict-management skills to the next level and learn what it takes to become a professional mediator. In this follow-up to Conflict Management 101, you'll build on your understanding of conflict and develop additional skills to intervene in situations where a neutral third-party is hepful. Learn about mediation processes and mediator ethics, and then implement and integrate the teaching through role-play sessions. This Conflict Mediation course meets the training-program requirements for certification as a Virginia Supreme Court General-Certified Mediator. Completion of Conflict Management 101 is a prerequisite for participation. This course will run 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 2 and 3, 2023.
